Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru |
Medical students complete their final clinical years at the Clinical School in the southern Malaysian city of Johor Bahru. The Clinical School was developed by renovating an old building in the grounds of the hospital and is now equipped with a clinical skills lab, specimen lab, pathology resource room, library, student common area, an open learning centre and a 70-seat lecture theatre. Here, third and fourth year students have small group teaching by Monash staff, together with the amazing clinical exposure at the adjoining huge and extremely busy tertiary hospital – Sultanah Aminah Hospital. Two Monash Houses in Johor Bahru provide accommodation and offices for visiting staff, and a base for the very active research program in diabetes and various drug trials. The Clinical School has also benefited from the continuous support of the doctors and specialists in Johor . |
