Research and Employment Opportunity
Monash University provides opportunities for those who are seeking
for research and employment :
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Studentship
- Postdoctoral Research Fellowship
- Research Assistantship
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) StudentshipMonash University offers an on-campus Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program for those candidates who wish to carry out a high-level research in Neuroscience
at BRIMS.
At present, BRIMS research focuses are:
- Behavioural neurogenetics
- Brain imaging
- Nanotechnology
- Neuroinformatics
- Molecular morphology
- Proteomics & Genomics
Information on BRIMS research strengths can be found at
Our Research.
A doctoral candidate will require to carry out an independent program of research under the supervision of an academic staff. The
maximum period of candidature is 4 years (full-time) or 8 years (part-time).
Although there is no deadline for PhD applications, you are advised to plan early because the whole process from designing to writing a PhD proposal as well as applying for the relevant scholarship and grant requires tremendous time and efforts.
Prior to submitting your formal application, you are advised to provide BRIMS with:
(1) A brief description of your research area/interest, and
(2) Curriculum Vitae with a passport-size photograph
An academic staff of BRIMS will work together with you to finalizing the details of your PhD research proposal. This will ensure that the proposal is feasible to be carried out in the BRIMS laboratory and at the same time, you will enjoy your project.
Scholarships are available for eligible candidates. Please write in to BRIMS for more details.
