Malaysian Soft Skills Scale (My3S) Survey – for Final Year Students only*

The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) Malaysia requires all final year students (see note above) to take part in an important survey, the Malaysian Soft Skills Scale (My3S) Survey, which is a tool for measuring students’ soft skills in communication, critical thinking and problem solving, teamwork, leadership, entrepreneurship, lifelong learning and information management, moral and professional ethics. These are the seven skills as specified by MoHE for students to develop in higher education.

This is a compulsory survey for ALL final year students, as the findings will be included as one of the evaluation criteria for the Rating System for Malaysian Higher Education Institutions (SETARA) for the year. As you may be aware, Monash University Sunway Campus (MUSC) was rated by SETARA as being in tier 5 (Excellent) in 2010.

By completing the My3S survey, you will contribute to the data collection process by MoHE for the SETARA rating. Please note that graduates from a well regarded university will be highly valued and much sought-after by the employers and other institutions/universities. This will likely enhance your career prospects and development.

We therefore urge you to complete the survey as soon as possible by 21 October 2011.
