Monash Asia-Pacific 50^th Anniversary Gala Reception, Singapore, 9 June 2008 

Hosted by Monash University’s Chancellor, Dr. Alan Finkel and attended by over 200 alumni from the Asia Pacific region, this auspicious event celebrated Monash University’s 50^th anniversary. Held in the Asian Civilisation Museum, Singapore, the gala reception was opened with speeches from Dr. Alan Finkel, Mr. John Kearsey (Divisional Director of Donor, Alumni & Community Relations) and Mr. Charles Lee (President, Monash University Alumni, Singapore chapter). It was indeed a night to be remembered as alumni networked over good food and wine amidst the view of the beautiful Singapore city skyline. There was a live band for entertainment and even some Karaoke sessions. Many reunited and relived their university days while others forged new friendships that night.
