Information Day 2003

Information Day was held on 15 June 2003 (Sunday).  Yes! It was Father’s Day, and the Malaysian campus had about 1000 visitors from 11 in the morning till 5 in the evening.

Prospective students came to Monash with the aim to attend seminars, meet senior academic staff, check out campus facilities & demonstrations, as well as enjoying the privilege of having the student application fee waived. 

Various activities took place at different locations throughout the day, and almost everyone was seen with hotdogs, burgers, ice-cream, chocolate or juices that were given free by the sponsors namely VeGood, Vochelle, Nestle Ice-Cream, Life and KFC.  

A handful of bright and enthusiastic alumni helped with queries on studying at Monash, from the student’s perspective.  Adrian & Kok Leong (IT graduates), Jason & Chris (Business graduates), Geraldine (Business/IT graduate), Tzu Wei (Communications graduate) and An Shii (Engineering graduate) enjoyed themselves while they mingled with the prospective students and their families.  This session of “Meet Our Graduates” is a new initiative, and provided visitors with a suitable avenue for Q&A over a cup of tea!
