Business' PhD Student Competes in UniSA's Essay Contest Sanjukta Choudhury Kaul will compete against 11 other PhD students.

School of Business’ Sanjukta Choudhury Kaul emerged one of top 12 candidates at the 2011 International PhD Student Competition for her essay titled ‘Corporate Social Responsibility and Disability: Thinking beyond the labels’.
The competition, organised by University of South Australia (UniSA)’s School of Management, Adelaide, saw PhD candidates from around the world compete on the theme of Management In The 21st Century And Related Issues.
Sanjukta will now present alongside the other 11 winners in a forum on the Future Of Management In The 21st Century, which will be held in Adelaide, Australia, from 14 to 16 November 2011.
“The platform is an excellent opportunity for the selected doctoral scholars to interact and network with like-minded scholars on management issues in the 21st century,” said Sanjukta.
Winners will also get to meet and interact with business leaders, government officials and leading academics during the forum. “I am delighted to be able to share the focus of my PhD research at this forum and value the reactions from other scholars and academics,” she said. She is pursuing her higher degree by research in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility and Disability under supervision of Dr Manjit Singh Sandhu at the School of Business, Monash University Sunway campus.

“Sanjukta is an outstanding PhD student and the School of Business is very proud to have her. We are very pleased to have Sanjukta represent Monash University Sunway campus at this forum as a winner. The competition is a fantastic opportunity for emergent scholars to interact,” Dr Manjit said.
“At Monash University, we constantly focus on research that is innovative, futuristic and cutting-edge,” he added.
Dr Claudine Soosay of the School of Management, University of South Australia, said that the panel had received an overwhelming number of applications from 21 countries.
“We are pleased by the number of high quality entries. After considerable deliberation and assessment, the selection panel has chosen the top 12 essays that were relevant, insightful and innovative, in line with the requirements of the competition,” she said, congratulating Sanjukta on her achievement.
