Winning Them Some Apples

Smiles were definitely abound when three guests to the recent School of Business Open Day found out they had each won a coveted Apple product.

In conjunction with its Open Day on June 25, the School had organised a contest to give away an Apple iPad 2, and two units of the Apple iPod Shuffle.

Those who had wanted to attend the Open Day had to pre-register on the Sunway campus website. Registrants were then randomly selected and had to answer questions about the campus.

The one with the most answers correct was a Monash University Foundation Year student pursuing the program at Sunway University, Ashwini Ramesh, who walked away with the Apple iPad 2.

Marcella Chia of Taylor’s University and Tan Khai Jeik of SMK Pusat Bandar Puchong each won an Apple iPod Shuffle.

The three received their prizes from Head of School of Business Professor Mahendhiran Nair.

In his welcome address, Prof Mahendhiran congratulated the winners and gave the audience an overview of the School.

“Most of our academics are researchers. And our researchers are explorers,” he said, adding that the programs offered by the School incorporated real-world views of its researchers into the lessons they taught.
