Entrance Scholarships for July 2012 Intake
Monash University, Sunway campus (referred to as “the University” below) awards two types of scholarships to students, the Entrance Scholarships and Honours Scholarships.

Entrance Scholarships
Students with excellent academic results will be automatically awarded a scholarship upon application to Monash Sunway for July 2012. The scholarship provides a 20% reduction in tuition fees for every semester.
Students applying for the MBBS, Pharmacy and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) programs are not eligible.

Eligible students will receive notice of the scholarship when they receive their letter of offer. To accept the scholarship, the following is required by the lapse date specified in the letter of offer:
1. Accept the offer to study at Monash University Sunway campus. A step by step is guide is available at http://www.monash.edu.my/advancement/pso/admissions/Offer.html
2. Complete the Scholarship Acknowledgement Form which can be downloaded from http://www.monash.edu.my/advancement/pso/applications/Scholarship.html
3. Ensure the relevant forms are completed as stated at http://www.monash.edu.my/advancement/pso/admissions/Offer.html
4. Submit the forms to Prospective Students Office, Building 2 Level 1, Monash University, Jalan Lagoon Selatan, 46150 Bandar Sunway, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.
It is the student's / applicant's responsibility to ensure that the Entrance Scholarship acknowledgement form is submitted directly to the Prospective Students Office when submitting their acceptance to study.
Please DO NOT send the scholarship acknowledgement form to other departments. The university does not take responsibility for misplaced or lost scholarship acknowledgement forms that do not reach the Prospective Students Office. Appeals for late submission of scholarship acknowledgement forms will not be entertained.
Conditions of Award
1. This scholarship provides a 20% discount on your tuition fees per semester.
2. This scholarship is only valid for studies at Monash University Sunway Campus.
3. To continue to receive your scholarship throughout the duration of your studies, you must maintain an average of 75% (in 24 credit points of study) and not fail any units in any semester.
4. Students who fail to maintain the required level of performance and fail any one unit in any semester would normally result in the full withdrawal of the scholarship.
5. The scholarship is not applicable for:
- Students undertaking MBBS, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Single Unit Study
- Students undertaking Honours and higher degrees study
- Students who transfer to Monash University Australia
6. The Entrance Scholarship scheme is only available to the following degree programs:
School of Arts & Social Science
- Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences)
- Bachelor of Arts (Global)
- Bachelor of Communication
School of Business
- Bachelor of Business and Commerce
- Bachelor of Business and Commerce/Bachelor of Communication (Double Degree)
School of Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Computer Systems/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Chemical)
School of Information Technology
- Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems
- Bachelor of Computer Science
Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences
- Bachelor of Psychological Science and Business
School of Science
- Bachelor of Science
- Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology)
- Bachelor of Science (Food Science and Technology)
- Bachelor of Science (Medical Bioscience)
- Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) and Bachelor of Science (Medical Bioscience (Double Degree)
7. If a student withdraws from the program, they are required to refund 50% of the scholarship awarded.
8. Students receiving scholarships/financial assistance from other bodies are not eligible for this scholarship.
9. Students applying for any other financial support offered by Monash University Sunway Campus such as staff/sibling discounts and travel grants are not eligible for this scholarship.
10. If a student changes to a new course and this course is not included in the scholarship scheme, the student will not be eligible for the scholarship.
