Sunway campus students are encouraged to exchange to Monash campuses in Australia and South Africa as part of your Monash degree. You can opt for an intercampus exchange to any Australian campus for one semester or South Africa for up to two semesters. This is an excellent opportunity for you to experience an international education with no addition to your existing tuition fee. Click here for information on travel grants.

Eligibility Requirements

Maintain an active enrolment at Monash University Sunway campus

Completed at least 48 credit points for all courses (except Bachelor of Pharmacy students who must complete 72 credit points).

Have a minimum credit average of 60%

Comply with all additional requirements of your School (refer to your School Exchange Advisor)

Apply for a country other than your country of citizenship

Study full-time on-campus during the exchange (18 or 24 credit points)

Be assessed by Monash Abroad and a School representative
How to apply
Monash Australia
Monash Australia campuses offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses. To apply, please refer to the Monash Abroad Intercampus Exchange application form for a step-by-step guide. The units offered at each Australian campus are available in the Monash Australia Handbook.
Monash South Africa
The South Africa campus offers courses only at undergraduate level, including some Honours courses. Refer to the course list for courses offered. Individual unit details are available in the Monash Australia Handbook. To apply, please refer to the Monash Abroad Intercampus Exchange application form.
MBBS Students from Monash Malaysia
MBBS students enrolled in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year at the Sunway campus or the Clinical School, Johor Bahru in Malaysia, can undertake one or two semester(s) under an Intercampus Exchange to Australia. Limited places are available. Contact

Students in their 5th year undertake compulsory clinical rotations in Australia as Intercampus Exchange students. See the Faculty of Medicine website for details.
Pharmacy Students
Bachelor of Pharmacy students can exchange for one semester to the Parkville campus. Students may only go in the second semester of their second year or the first semester of their third year. Limited places are available and students will need an average of at least 70% across all completed units to be selected.
