High Achiever Award (Prior 2013)

 

High Achiever Award is open to outstanding students in Monash University Sunway Campus (MUSC). Note that meeting the minimum criteria DOES NOT guarantee an award. The decision of the University is final.

Value: 20% reduction in the tuition fees

Criteria: After each completed year of study (two continuous semesters), full load students who have not previously failed in any unit and achieved a minimum high distinction average, are eligible to apply for this award. The stated minimum achievement scores to qualify for the award:

The maintenance score are as follows (Recipients who fail to maintain a distinction average would automatically have their award withdrawn):

Selection: Applicant must fill in a form. It will then be evaluated by the Scholarship Working Group. The Scholarship Working Group reserves the right to interview the applicant.

Application Deadlines: The Finance Department must receive your application before 31 March for Semester 1 and 31 August for Semester 2. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.

Conditions of High Achiever Award

  1. Full-time enrolled students in MUSC.

  2. The decision to grant the award is at the sole discretion of MUSC.

  3. MUSC reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the award as and when required without prior notice.

  4. There is no cash benefit to the award.

  5. The award is not transferable to any other programme or degree at MUSC or other Monash campuses.

  6. In exceptional cases, the award may be withdrawn in the event of gross misconduct by the applicant.

  7. Recipients who fail to maintain the required level of performance would result in the full withdrawal of the award.

  8. Recipients who fail any one unit in any semester examination will be fully withdrawn from the scheme.

  9. Students must not be bonded to or in receipt of any financial assistances from MUSC (this includes, staff discounts by Sunway Group, siblings discounts, travel grant, entrance scholarship, etc) or other educational institutions or organizations.

  10. The award is not applicable for Honours.

  11. The award does not cover study of units during the summer break.
