The Tun
Hussein Onn Library (THOL) was established in 1987 and moved to the
present site in 1992.
Library
floor space covers some 55,000 square feet. It is located on the second
and third floors of the Central Administration Block. The 2nd
Floor houses the Humanities and Social Science collection, the 3rd Floor
houses the Science, Technology and Reference Collection.
THOL serves
both Sunway College and Monash University Malaysia campuses with a
current student enrolment of 5,000 and establishment of about 300 staff.
Relocation of Monash Library Collection to the Monash
University, Sunway Campus Library
Monash Library collection in Tun Hussein Onn Library (THOL) will
be relocated to the new Monash University, Sunway Campus Library
at Building 7 on 28 June until 8 July 2007. This relocation
exercise requires the suspension of Monash Library collection
borrowing facilities to Monash users and reciprocal borrowers
(Sunway users).
In addition to the relocation exercise users are not required to
return library books prior to the relocation date, however, users
will have to return Monash library materials after 28 June
2007 at the Monash University, Sunway Campus Library at Building 7
(Ground Floor). Library materials are to be returned via the Book
Return (Book Drop). The Book Return is located at the left corner
of the Library entrance.
The Library opening hours will be placed in the library website at
http://www.monash.edu.my/library/ in July 2007.
