Staff and students at Monash University will have a chance to plant mangrove trees and take up-close look at the mangrove forest eco-system in October. The university has been invited by RICOH to participate in their Kuala Selangor Nature Park Mangrove Forest Recovery Project in collaboration with the Malaysian Nature Society. The project is aimed at restoring damaged mangrove areas and establishing a high-tide roost for migratory birds and increase the flora and fauna at the Kuala Selangor National Park. The project is Ricoh’s 12th environmental project to build a framework for continuous forest conservation. Details of this activity are being finalized.
