Professor Robin Pollard
Pro Vice-Chancellor and President, Malaysia

Professor Robin Pollard is Pro Vice-Chancellor and President, Malaysia at Monash University, Sunway campus, Malaysia.  He is no stranger to Malaysia, having been Foundation Professor and Head of School at the campus in the years 1998-2000.

Robin's background is in condensed matter physics, but he has also held academic positions in Information Technology, Marketing and in Chemistry.  He has worked in Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada, United States of America and Great Britain. Prior to taking up his current position, he was Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development and International) at the University of New England.

Robin's current interests include transnational education, the relationships between abilities, attitudes and motivation of staff, and the privatization of higher education.
