A Message from the Campus Security Manager
Dear students and colleagues,
Congratulations on being a member of the Monash University Sunway campus community.
Generally, the campus offers a safer and secured environment for your work and studies, as many initiatives have been implemented to ensure the safety of all students, staff and visitors.
However, the Security Department would like everyone to have a feeling been in a safer and secured environment at all times when you are in the campus.
Remember, the saying 'Prevention is better than cure', and be proactive by taking precautionary measures to protect yourselves and your property, so that an opportunity is not created for crime to occur.
Please do not expose yourselves to danger by walking alone, especially during dark hours; leaving your property unattended to or vehicle unlocked and do not accept offers or help from strangers especially when you are alone outside the campus.
Please be familiar with the campus security procedures, such as the proper use of the Door Access System; the requirement for students to display their identity cards (ID) at the campus entrance and campus emergency procedures. Please also provide feedback to the Security Department so that our efforts can be enhanced and make the campus a safer place.
Please use the campus emergency numbers 03-5514 6333(Ext: 46333) to report an incident, sighting of suspicious behaviour person or request for any assistance you may need. You may also forward any suggestion to me by e-mail at

To ensure that the campus is a safer place for all of us, your co-operation is very much appreciated so that we can improved the security system and enhance it further.
Thank you
