Financial Information

With the partner university exchange agreements in place, you will not be required to pay additional tuition fees while studying abroad. You only need to continue paying your regular Monash tuition fees in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).

If you have opted for the faculty overseas programs, you may be required to pay a program fee directly to the organising Faculty. For further information on the program costs, please contact the respective program coordinator. You may also be eligible for various scholarships that are available to support your exchange.

Living and travel costs are your responsibility

Studying abroad is exciting but it is essential to financially plan ahead for your overseas travel. Living costs vary from one country to another and is dependent on your lifestyle and the duration of your stay. Ensure that you have sufficient funds to pay for the necessities such as a return flight  ticket, travel insurance, visa, food, accommodation, transportation and study materials. Some host universities may require you to pay for orientation activities and compulsory fieldtrips as well.

A budget worksheet is included in the application form to assist with your financial planning for your exchange abroad.
