Speaker Profile: Juliana is CEO of Biji-biji Initiative, an impact-driven enterprise that champions environmental sustainability and social innovation programs. She plays a leading role in Beyond Bins, a project that is aimed at creating alternative sources of income to marginalized communities through small-scale plastic recycling machines. Juliana has also founded other social enterprises that focus on creative education, sustainable event management, as well as sustainability consultancy. Juliana holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Bedfordshire, UK, and is an Acumen Malaysia Fellow.
Synopsis: Juliana shared about her experiences in leading Biji-Biji Initiative, a social enterprise that champions sustainable living and reuses waste creatively. She also enlightened the audiences with the challenges that she faced, as well as ways she copes with them as the leader in striving for an ecological mission. Finally, she shared how relational leadership, which emphasise care and co-creation, is being practised in Biji-Biji.
