Speaker Profile: David Lim is the Assistant Manager, Social Innovation Division with MaGIC (Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre). He has been in the role for about a year. However, David is not new to the Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Malaysia. He has been with Biji-Biji Initiative for about 3 years before he changed his role from a social Entrepreneurship practitioner to a social entrepreneurship ecosystem builder.

Webinar Synopsis: To kick start the session, David introduced the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), a government agency, as the key social entrepreneurship ecosystem builder in Malaysia. He also shared the current funding opportunity, Social Impact Matching (SIM) Grant available in Magic. David also enlightened the audiences with the funding structure of most social entrepreneurs in Malaysia and Southeast Asian. He also offered some tips in preparing the grant proposal to increase chances of success in securing funds. The session was ended with the exciting Buy for Impact Movement recently launched by MaGIC.
