Ewilly Liew Jie Ying is a Lecturer in the Econometrics and Business Statistics Department. She is a certified Enterprise Data Analyst (2017) and has served as the Academic Advisor for Business Analytics major from 2016 to 2018.
Her teaching includes enterprise analytics (formerly enterprise resource planning), data modelling and computing, survey methods and managerial statistics, and applied econometrics. Prior to joining Monash, she obtained a diploma in Business with IT from Asia Pacific University (APU; formerly known as APIIT). She received numerous awards including Dean’s Honours List (2009, 2010), Overall Best Thesis (2010), Best Thesis Presentation (2010), Monash Honours Degree and Postgraduate Research Degree Full Scholarship (2010; 2013-2015). Out of her Honours thesis, she has won the best paper in ISI Regional Statistics Conference (2014), published in tier-A journal (2014), and written a book chapter in PIKOM annual publication (2014). She was a panel discussant in the Third Malaysia Statistics Conference (2015) and the recipient for Jeffrey Cheah Travel Grant Award for Southest Asia Studies at Harvard University (Spring Term 2015). Ewilly focuses on interdisciplinary behavioral research integrating creativity, technology and innovation on knowledge creation. Her supervision and grant projects include but not limited to creative knowledge creation, entrepreneurship, healthcare management, social media technology, and management analytics. She has past working experience in government-funded project as graduate research assistants, Bursa Malaysia on corporate governance reporting and analysis; public hospitals as healthcare analyst; insurance and marketing industries as digital marketing researcher, social media analyst, and associate consultant.
