Ewilly Liew Jie Ying is a Lecturer in the Econometrics and Business Statistics Department and the Acting Coordinator for Business Analytics major.

Ewilly focuses on interdisciplinary research which primarily integrates two strands of recent significant inquiry: the phenomenal use of social network technology (SNT), and knowledge management for creative performance. She received numerous awards including the Dean’s Honours List (2009, 2010), Overall Best Thesis (2010), Best Thesis Presentation (2010), Monash Honours Degree and Postgraduate Research Degree Full Scholarship (2010; 2013-2015). Out of Ewilly’s Honours thesis, she has won the best paper in ISI Regional Statistics Conference (2014), published in tier-A journal (2014), and written a book chapter in PIKOM annual publication (2014). She has been a panel discussant in the Third Malaysia Statistics Conference (2015) and the recipient for Jeffrey Cheah Travel Grant Award for Southest Asia Studies at Harvard University (Spring Term 2015).

Prior to joining Monash, she has acquired rich teaching experiences since 2011. She also worked with her supervisor on government-funded research project pertaining sustainable ICT development for marginalized communities in Malaysia; Bursa Malaysia on corporate governance reporting and analysis; childcare operation manager, marketing researcher, associate consultant and social media analyst in the industry.
