Meet the team!

Charis Wong

Charis is our Co-President, working with Radhika to lead the team to greater heights. She was part of the pioneering committee that established the Chapter through strengthening the foundations and organizing key events. At present, she is a consultant with PwC Malaysia’s Advisory team, working extensively on M&A advisory with clients from diverse industries, spanning Southeast Asia. As Co-President of MMBAC, she looks forward to building a strong foundation for the Chapter and engaging with a broader spectrum of Monash alumni through high impact programs, while giving back to the community. She graduated from Monash University Malaysia in 2015 with a Bachelor of Business and Commerce.

Passionate about developing talent in Malaysia and democratising holistic education specifically to the underprivileged, Charis is actively involved in initiatives that drive this agenda. In her free time, she enjoys reading, travelling, and a good workout!

Radhika Divya Chelliah

Radhika is our Co-President, working with Charis to lead the team to greater heights. She joined the committee during the official launch in 2016 and is the co-founder of Women Who Thrive, one of our flagship development programs. She is currently a senior consultant with EY’s Advisory Practice working on Change Management in Finance Transformation Projects servicing clients worldwide. She graduated from the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) program in 2015 and as an undergraduate served as the President of the Monash Malaysia Toastmasters Club.

Radhika’s vision for MMBAC is for it to grow into a sustainable, flourishing community creating value in the lives of Monash graduates and society. She believes it can be a platform accessible to all Monash graduates who wish to make a difference in their own way. She is passionate about human capital development and impact projects focused on marginalised communities.

She is a firm believer in purposeful living and is always up for a growth-oriented conversation. Outside work, she enjoys writing, discovering new places, yoga and is a Carnatic vocalist.

Adrian Chan

Adrian is our Finance Director, making all the events possible. He is one of the founding committee members of MMBAC since 2015. In the last 4 years, he has supported MMBAC in various positions, from internal liaison to event management to finance. His next goal for MMBAC is to build a solid foundation for the future generation to continue making MMBAC stronger and better. At his day job, he is a Sales Manager at Ash-Asia Sdn Bhd based in Bangkok, and serves as a sales manager for Malaysia and Brunei markets. He is a Bachelor of Business and Commerce graduate, class of 2014.

He is a strong believer that hard work leads to results, and in never asking what others can do for you, but what you can do for others.

Khizar Chhotani

Khizar is our Program Director. He oversees all development, community and social events organised by MMBAC. Currently, he is a Graduate Research Pathway student at Monash Malaysia Business School, with a research focus in Banking and Finance. He graduated from Monash University Malaysia in 2016 with a Bachelor of Business and Commerce, in Finance and International Business. He successfully launched his career as a Management Trainee with Bank Alfalah Ltd, one of the largest and fastest growing financial institutions in Pakistan. He was placed in the Treasury & Capital Markets, Financial Institutions Group of Bank Alfalah where he worked as a Financial Institutions Specialist, managing a portfolio of global correspondent banks.

Khizar is passionate about leveraging this opportunity to create a meaningful difference by making positive contributions to Monash’s alumni community. He also enjoys extreme outdoor sports, volunteering, cooking, travelling and exploring various cuisines.

Wayne Tan

Wayne is our Development Manager. He oversees all personal and professional development events organised by MMBAC. At work, he is a Team Building partner in Leaderonomics, a leadership development company. Having majored in Accounting and Marketing, he has experience in the technology, finance and insurance industry before joining the Human Resource industry. Outside work, he mentors university students on personal development and is the Treasurer of the Selangor Floorball Association.

Shannon Francis

Shannon is our Social Manager, curating fun, festive events for MMBAC. She started with MMBAC from its inception while still a 3rd year student at Monash Malaysia, with the aim of building strong alumni relationships benefiting not only the alumni network but also helping fresh graduates transition into the marketplace.

She currently holds a marketing position at L’Oréal Malaysia having completed L’Oréal’s Graduate Trainee - Young Entrepreneur Program with experience in two major cosmetics brands. Prior to graduating with a Bachelor of Business and Commerce degree, Shannon was active with the Monash University Student Association and case study competitions. Her motto in life is, "Skills can only bring one so far, but it’s grit that gives you the extra edge in life".

During her free time, Shannon enjoys the company of books, coffee, and her scheduled visits to the gym. She also loves the outdoors and is always up for a hike or camping trip!

Joelle Chew

Joelle is the Co-Chair of Thrive 2.0, MMBAC's flagship development programme, a development and mentorship program for female alumni. Currently, she is part of the Strategic Development team at GoCar Malaysia, leading key projects and partnerships that align with the car sharing startup’s vision of transforming the mobility landscape in Malaysia through alternative transportation. She is a Bachelor of Arts graduate with a major in Communications from the class of 2015. Besides work, Joelle is passionate about urban mobility, practicing a sustainable lifestyle, contributing to empowerment and leadership of young professionals at the workplace, and is an avid runner training to complete her first full marathon.

Huei Ying Lim

Huei Ying is the Co-Chair of Thrive 2.0, MMBAC's flagship development programme, a development and mentorship program for female alumni. She leads the Digital Benefits team at Aon Malaysia, focusing on plan design requirements and program implementations. Huei Ying graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Medical Bioscience, and she is passionate about volunteering and giving back to the community. She is active in the Monash alumni community and was the leader for the School of Science Alumni Chapter. She was also one of the mentors for the Monash Career Mentoring Program in 2018.

With an appetite to empower young women and from her journey as a mentee in 2017 Thrive program, she is now the Co-Chair for Thrive 2.0 scheduled for 2019. With the huge success of Thrive 2017, she hopes Thrive 2.0 will impact even more young female Monash alumni to achieve personal and professional growth via a series of workshops, masterclasses, networking events and contributing to disadvantaged communities.

Marque Tan

Marque is our Creative Director, improving our branding in the community. He is currently a business technology consultant trainee, specializing in HR solutions.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Business & Commerce prior to pursuing his career in consulting. He has a keen enthusiasm for the creative industry.

His view of his future may not involve a “big dream” of changing the world, his goal has been eyeing on becoming an entrepreneur/intrapreneur in the technology industry envisioned to make people’s life easier through technology.
