Entrepreneurial Skills Series | Measuring Success (S1/2021)
The final module of the program on “Measuring Success”, covered topics on understanding the importance of the right business model, recognising the role and scope of business planning and identifying holistic tools and approaches to measuring success.
The start of this session saw participants discovering the different types of business models and how to use the business model canvas, which is a template for developing new or documenting existing business models in a visual chart form.
Participants were then prodded to grasp the significance of business planning and a range of initiatives and processes that are undertaken to achieve the goals of the business. Our facilitator, Dr Daniel Loy also introduced participants to various approaches and toolkits to business planning.
The module concluded with a conversation on social enterprises, which have a specific type of business model with clearly expressed business and social goals.
