ICAEW Regional Business Challenge

ASEAN Data Science Explorers competition

Congratulations to Team Orca from Monash University Malaysia for emerging as one of the winners in the ICAEW Regional Business Challenge 2018- Malaysia Finals held on 3 May 2018. They will be representing Malaysia in the South-East Asia Business Challenge 2018 Finals. Monash Malaysia Business students, Thean Su Mei and Wong Feng Ming for emerging the ASEAN champions at the regional face-off of the ASEAN Data Science Explorers 2017 competition held recently in Jakarta, Indonesia.

CIMB Book Prize

CPA Australia Book Prize Award

Three Banking and Finance students from the School of Business receive book prize worth RM700 and internship program at CIMB. The three award recipients who had completed their second year, Vivi Setiawaty, Lai Wanqing and Andrew Lim Ken Wern from the School of Business received their awards from Mr Robert Lim, Managing Director at CIMB Group Human Resources. School of Business students, Yoong Sue Li, Loh Kang Hern, Shuy Yee Ching, Pieter Chauhari, Low Meen Dee and Ng Jing Wen won the CPA Australia Book Prize Award. The award was presented by Ms Leong Pui Kuan at Monash University Malaysia.

CIMB ASEAN Stock Challenge

HSBC Business Case Competition

Team JCNASH was awarded First Place at the National Level of CIMB ASEAN Stock Challenge 2016. Bachelor of Business and Commerce student, Jodie Ernestaputra, and Bachelor of Computer Science student, Charles Kusuma Wijaya, achieved the highest trading percentage during the three weeks of real-time trading. Bachelor of Business and Commerce students; Liew Yung Chan, Alex Looi Yih Feng, Jeffrey Chung Chin Keat and Wan Aznir Wan Abhar make it into the semi-finals round of the competition. While the team did not make it to the top three, these students gained a lot of experience and knowledge in preparing for this competition.

KPMG ASEAN Scholarships

Bachelor of Business and Commerce students, Bryan Siow Ming-Jiet, Jeffrey Chung Chin Keat, Dickson Chew, Michelle Chin Shu Fern, Alex Looi Yih Feng and Bachelor of Engineering student, Ivan Lim Kwan Choong emerged Finalist at the ICAEW Regional Business Challenge 2016 on 24 May 2016. They participated in the case study challenge as business consultants for the Adidas brand, the largest sportswear manufacturer in the world. Three scholars from the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia, were recently awarded with the KPMG ASEAN Scholarships. Datuk Johan Idris, Managing Partner of KPMG, presented the award to these bright young students at the KPMG ASEAN Scholarship Program Awards Ceremony 2016 held in KPMG Tower. Selected from more than 1,500 candidates nationwide, Tan Li Anne, Bhavan Sarpal and Lakshman Palani were among the six scholars to receive the award. The winners were picked through a challenging and competitive selection process.
