Bootcamp: Youth Startup Bootcamp 2019 - Sustainable Initiatives
57 youths came together at the Youth Startup Bootcamp 2019: Sustainable Initiatives on an experiential and hands-on journey to discover what it takes to turn ideas into viable startups. Over an entire weekend, participants spent more than 30 grueling hours to ideate, validate and pitch ideas and solutions to tackle existing community and real-world challenges.
Guided and mentored by facilitators, speakers, entrepreneurs from different industries and enterprises, participants were engaged in an environment that inspired and empowered them to identify societal challenges and develop an entrepreneurial mindset and behaviour.
Youth Startup Bootcamp selected 5 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which were Good Health and Well-Being, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Sustainable Cities and Communities and Responsible Consumption and Production
At the Bootcamp, youths discovered that they were empowered to identify social challenges that encourage and inspire entrepreneurial behavior, engaged with like-minded people, entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and mentors who can provide critical guidance and valuable advice/feedback and learnt entrepreneurial skillsets to identify, evaluate and validate opportunities in real-world circumstances..
