Supporting a new Masters level unit, “Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, eiHub invites 5 charismatic and dynamic entrepreneurs to address contemporary challenges and share with students, their insights on opportunity, passion and challenges on how they leverage their opportunities into creating a successful enterprise.

During the event, attendees were exposed to hands-on activities like Claymation-Digital Storytelling, entertained by Petrosains’s signature science shows, participated in interactive demonstrations and games powered by the Internet of Things (IoT) and Augmented Reality, and inspired from presentations by esteemed industry leaders.

Ideate, test, iterate and scale! Playing a role as part of a Fintech startup growth team, participants are challenged to provide ideas to scale Fintech products and solutions to be more accessible and appealing to users from different generations. Students work in teams and learnt from mentors and facilitators to provide ideas, backed by data and facts, and were given constructive feedback on how to improve on presentation and pitching skills.

In support of the MIB unit, Accounting and Finance for International Managers, eiHub invited students and staff for a talk by Jason Chew, Managing Partner of Bitcoin Malaysia, to create awareness on cryptocurrencies, bitcoin and blockchain technology, and to unravel the enigma of a space which is filled with lots of noise, fear, uncertainty and doubt.

The eiSpark Series exposed participants to numerous approaches of ideation in order to uncover unexpected areas of innovation.

The Introduction to 3D Printing workshop conducted by My Conceptual Robotics (MyCRO) provided participants with the basic knowledge of 3D printing design and the printing processes, the software and materials used in 3D printing and how users can create prototypes of items without the use of expensive tooling equipment.

In the age of disruptive technology and the Industry 4.0, adaptability, problem-solving and perseverance is everything. The Market Simulation, a collaboration between eiHub and Monash Entrepreneur Club (MEC), provided an avenue for students to grow in their entrepreneurial and innovative mindset. This was also a platform for the students to network and to learn from mentors within entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The 3D Model Design Workshop conducted by My Conceptual Robotics (MyCRO) provided participants with the skills to use the Tinkercad (3D Design Software) to create their own 3D designs.

57 youths came together at the Youth Startup Bootcamp 2019: Sustainable Initiatives on an experiential and hands-on journey to discover what it takes to turn ideas into viable startups. Over an entire weekend, participants spent more than 30 grueling hours to ideate, validate and pitch ideas and solutions to tackle existing community and real-world challenges.
