Python Coding Workshop By EAMMSS
The Python Coding Workshop organised by EAMMSS was an introductory workshop held on the 21st of March 2025 at the library. Free refreshments were provided to all participants. The3-hour long workshop was conducted by Dr. Khong Wei Leong, the current unit coordinator for ENG1013 - Engineering Smart Systems.
The main objective of the workshop was to introduce Python programming to beginners while also serving as a refresher for advanced coders. Dr Khong effectively covered the fundamental principles of coding. Following each concept, participants immediately applied what they had learned through hands-on coding challenges. This approach reinforced their understanding and helped them practice solving a variety of problems.
The workshop featured both individual and team-based challenges, Touch-N-Go vouchers awarded to winners. The competitive element, combined with time constraints, encouraged participants to code efficiently and think critically under pressure. Our goal was to develop more proficient coders, and we believe this workshop successfully achieved that outcome.
