International Brain Research Organization - Asia Pacific Regional School for Neuroscience, 3rd - 15 November 2010
In this year, 2010, BRIMS held the two-week “IBRO APRC School of Neuroscience Malaysia” in October for the first time in Malaysia. The event attracted young s scientists from India, China, Pakistan, Iran, Singapore, Korea, and Thailand who participated in hands-on workshops and laboratory sessions on Molecular Morphology, Functional Genomics, Behavioural Neuroscience and Bioimaging.
Participants were assigned mini laboratory-based projects with a focus on technique-orientated areas in neuroscience. Here, each student was assigned to one theme during the hands-on workshop arranged at BRIMS and at three research universities; University of Malaya, Universiti Teknologi Mara and Universiti Putra Malaysia. Participants also interacted with top researchers globally including at lectures held via video-conference.

Special lectures by neuroscience expertise were delivered during Neuroscience Symposium on 13 & 14 October 2010. The symposium was co-organised with the NeuroMalaysia Society.
