Profile Summary

Dr Adriana Ortega holds a PhD in Applied Psychology and Master of Science in Occupational Health Psychology from the University of Nottingham, England, and a BA in Behavioural Science with a minor in Women studies from Green Mountain College, USA.  She completed a Post-doctoral research at the National Research Centre for the Working Environment in Copenhagen, Denmark and another one at the University Putra Malaysia, in Malaysia. She obtained HRDF training certification in Malaysia and currently working towards her coaching certification.

Dr Ortega has over 15 years of research and teaching experience in Psychology and Social Science across United Kingdom, Scandinavia and South East Asia. She also has a  wide-ranging volunteering experience in areas related to social health, community sustainable development and leadership, human resource management, organizational behaviour, occupational health, as well as empowerment of women, youth and marginalized groups. She has been working on several projects focusing on the organizational development of the non-profit strategies with I First International since 2016. She served as visiting lecturer at the Centre for distance education at Aligarh Muslim University in India, and as guest speaker on sustainable leadership and women empowerment at Sri Sai Ram Engineering College in Chennai, India during the summer semester of 2017. Her research area is related to Stress & Psychosocial Well-Being, OD, OB; and believes, values and interpersonal behaviour.  The links to her publications can be found on Google Scholar.
