Dr Jeevitha Mariapun joined Clinical School Johor Bahru as Lecturer in Public Health in January 2019. She has a PhD in Public Health from the University of Malaya and MSc in Medical Statistics from the University of Leicester, UK.
Her research interests fall broadly within the field of public health and preventive medicine. She is particularly interested in cardiovascular epidemiology, premature mortality, obesity, smoking cessation, health equity, the social determinants of health and biostatistics. Her research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals. She is currently an associate member of the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Practice in University of Malaya.
