Profile Summary

Dr Khadeeja Munawar is the Lecturer of Psychology at the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia. She is a registered clinical psychologist with the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (MSCP). She completed her doctorate by majoring in cognitive psychology/autobiographical memories and examined the theoretical accounts of reminiscence bump among Malaysian and Pakistani samples. In addition to autobiographical memories, Dr Khadeeja is interested in various aspects of mental health such as; factors that influence mental health services, mental health literacy, as well as establishing psychometric properties of assessment measures used in the field of mental health. Before beginning any research project, Dr Khadeeja conducts a systematic/scoping review to find out the gaps and limitations in the previous literature. She has actively published her studies in well reputed Q1 and Q2 journals (including PlosOne, Archives of Women’s Mental Health, and American Journal of Infection Control etc) and currently has 25 publications in Scopus indexed journals. Furthermore, Dr Khadeeja is interested in exploring psychological distancing among individuals having mood and/or anxiety disorders. Dr Khadeeja has executed research projects using both quantitative and qualitative methods (for more details, please see the list of publications).
