Dr Nik Asmah Nik Hussain
Profile Summary
Dr Nik Asmah is a senior lecturer at Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia. She graduated in Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland in 1997. Upon obtaining her MRCP (UK) in 2000, she continued to work in Ireland as Cardiology Registrar prior to her appointment as Lecturer in Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 2002. She joined Monash University Malaysia as a senior lecturer in April 2006 and was one of the pioneer staff members who spent six weeks at the Clayton campus learning about the medical curriculum as well as doing the Graduate Certificate Program in Health Professional Education. She was the Co-chair of the Year 2 Management Committee, and was part of the Theme 4 (Clinical Skills), Assessment and Evaluation Committees. Her research involvements include participating in various multi-centre clinical trials and interests include staged management of hypertension.
