Profile Summary

Associate Professor Sivalal joined Monash University Malaysia in June 2006 and was involved in setting up the MBBS programme in the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He is coordinator for the Year 1 Transition programme (MedStart), Health Enhancement Programme (HEP), Problem Based Learning (PBL), Health Promotion & Evidence-Based Medicine (HP & EBM), Medical Law, Year 1 Rural programme, and Health Services Management. He also supervises Bachelor of Biomedical Science students as well as those in the Young Scholar Programme (YSP).

Professional Affiliations

Dr Sivalal is the founder president of the Malaysian Society of Health Technology Assessment and has been actively involved in international organizations like Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) being a board member for many years, as well as Guidelines International where he also served as a trustee. He is currently a member the Medical Advisory Committee in Hospital Sungai Long.  He also participates in the Sri Jayanthi Welfare Organisation and involves in various other charitable organisations.
