Profile Summary

Dr Yatinesh kumari is currently a senior lecturer in Jeffery Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia. She is an independent and self-directed young researcher who is involved in several research projects and supervising higher degree students at doctoral level as main and co-supervisor. Currently, she is leading few research projects in Neuropharmacology laboratory related to sleep and neurocognitive disorders.

Presently, her research is emphasizing on the importance of the circadian clock in the regulation of the sleep-wake cycle and how sleep disruption impact on neurological and physiological consequences. Her main focus is to explore pharmacological potentials of plant based compounds to find out underlying molecular and neural pathways to understand their mechanism of actions, as it is essential to the development of new therapeutic strategies in context to sleep disorder and neurodegenerative diseases.
