Welcome to Monash University Malaysia Library!

WelcomeDear Students:

Whether you are a returning student or new to Monash Malaysia, I wish you a very warm welcome!

In light of the ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO 2.0), the main campus Library and the Clinical School Library will remain closed until further notice. In response to COVID-19 lockdown, we realigned all library resources, programs and services to cater for your needs regardless of where you are located.

Library orientation
We have repackaged O-Week materials to provide you with a positive experience online. You can view the Orientation slides on Let’s Begin. It is a great place to start and discover the library resources, services and programs. Check the presentation at your own time and pace!

For Year 3 students commencing at the Johor Bahru Clinical School (JBCS) campus, I encourage you to check the Virtual tour to learn about JBCS Library’s facilities, collections and services.

Get started with academic life
The team of Liaison Librarians and Learning Skills Advisers is available via Zoom to assist with your academic work. I encourage you to make an early appointment when your assignments start coming. To identify your School Liaison, check Research and Learning Team.

Our latest flyer “The Library is here for you” summarizes the resources, services and assistance you can receive from the Library throughout the semester. Make sure to check it out !

Book Loans
In view of the campus closure, all current loans will be extended until the Library re-opens. Any item due during this time will not incur any fines.

Please check your MyLoans account for information on loans and holds.

Space refurbishment
During Semester 3 of last year, we worked closely with Facilities Management to continue improving the Library’s facilities and technology.

  • We upgraded the RFID gates to provide a seamless experience and help us better monitor space usage
  • The renovation of the Collaborative Learning Space (Level 3) is in progress. This popular space will offer a much refreshed  design that will cater to both collaboration and independent learning.

I wish you the very best for the new semester. The Library team hopes to welcome you in person when the campus reopens its doors!
