The Malaysian Government has extended the CMCO in Selangor and also imposed the CMCO in many states in the country, including Johor. As such, our main campus and the campus in Johor Bahru remain closed.

The Malaysian Government has extended the CMCO in Selangor and Johor Bahru has been classified as a Red Zone. As such, our main campus in Bandar Sunway will remain closed and the Johor Bahru campus will be closed from 3 November 2020.

The Malaysian Government has enforced a Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Selangor effective 14 October to 9 November 2020. As such, our Main Campus in Sunway City will be shut from 9pm, 13 October 2020.
Alumni databases: Click on "Login to OpenAthens" button before searching

From Monday August 17 alumni users will be moving to the OpenAthens service to access the databases available to them. The Alumni Databases page will be updated to include a "Login to OpenAthens" button. This logging in first will give alumni an improved experience in Search.
Access to the Library's print collections

Monash users can browse the collection however all users are encouraged to “Request Online” via the library catalogue.
Access to Library and Learning Commons

Effective 27th July 2020, the Library will open in compliance with the Campus Resumption Plan and related SOPs.
Opening Hours: 8.00am - 5.00 pm (Monday to Friday). Closed on weekends and public holidays.
- Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Level 3 Expansion will be open with controlled access through Entrance Level 1.
- Create and Engage spaces will be open with access through Building 9, Level 3.
- No access to physical collections (i.e. the physical books.)
- All other services and programs, including student consultations will be online.

Search will be offline on Sunday 26 July from 7:00pm to 9:00pm for scheduled system maintenance. During this period, you won't be able to use the following services:
- check availability information on physical items
- have access to any electronic items
- to place a hold and
- to view or renew your loans via Search

Update for Monash Reciprocal Members
12 May 2020
In view of the Conditional Movement Control Order and the practice of social distancing, Sunway Campus Library had to reduce the number of seats available in the Library with access given to only Sunway University students. As a result, Sunway Campus Library management informed the University that Monash reciprocal members are not allowed access to the Sunway Campus Library until further notice.
We greatly appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Library Closure during Movement Control Order (MCO)

The Malaysian Government has imposed a Movement Control Order since 18 March 2020. In compliance with the MCO directive, the Library and Learning Commons (main campus) and the Clinical School Library (Johor Bahru) will remain closed until further announcement is made by the University.
Any books due during this period will not incur any overdue fines.

Library Insync survey 2019 action plan

The Library Insync survey conducted by Monash University Australia in September 2019 across all Monash campuses brought positive results on Monash Malaysia Library’s performance. The Library recorded an encouraging overall score of 75.0 %, which represents an increase of 4.3% since the 2017 survey.
