Profiles and IDs

Learn how to create and manage researcher profile

A research profile collects all your research and publications together in one place, solving problems of author name ambiguity, differences in publisher formatting of names, or researchers with the same or similar names.

If your institutional affiliation and/or contact information changes, a researcher profile will allow you to maintain a link between you and your scholarly work.

Get credit for all of your research outputs correctly attributed to you by using an author ID. Researcher profiles ensure that you are discoverable and have a platform to present your outputs, unique skills and expertise.

Depending on the tool, your ID or profile will either be:

  • automatically created for you
  • need to be created by you
  • need to be claimed by you

You are responsible for ensuring that the publication and author data is correct and up to date.
