Deserving students awarded with CIMB Book Prize
Three Banking and Finance students from the School of Business receive book prize worth RM700 and internship program at CIMB.
The CIMB Bank Book Prize awards three Banking and Finance students annually with a book prize of RM 700. This year, Vivi Setiawaty, Lai Wanqing and Andrew Lim Ken Wern from the School of Business received their awards from Robert Lim, Managing Director at CIMB Group Human Resources.
The deserving students each met the average mark of 70% or higher and were among the 24 students who applied for the award. The winners were selected after an interview session held in campus by CIMB.
“We are very happy to have friends like CIMB Bank who support us greatly and who are willing to offer awards. I encourage all of you to participate in these types of competition,” said Professor John Benson, Head of School of Business, to the first years who were present at the ceremony. “What industries expect from Monash students are not just degrees. Think about a wider portfolio than just your studies,” he said, adding that internship programs and volunteer work add depth to students’ portfolios.
The three award recipients who had completed their second year will also have the chance to intern at CIMB.
