Pharmacy tops world rankings

For the second consecutive year, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Monash has ranked second in the world for Pharmacy and Pharmacology, only behind Harvard, in the QS 2018 World University Rankings by Subject released today. This places us at number one in Australia and the Asia Pacific.

The 2018 QS assessment of the University’s Pharmacy and Pharmacology subject detailed a perfect score of 100 for the academic reputation indicator, as well as strong scoring in citation metrics.

Monash also featured prominently among the world's elite institutions, placing in the top 100 in 41 of the 48 subjects listed. Monash ranked in the top 50 in the world in 26 subjects – up from 23 subjects in 2017.

Other highlights in the QS University subject rankings for Monash included:

  • Improvement by four places in Chemical Engineering (=24) and Psychology (38)
  • Improvement by three places in Accounting and Finance (23) and Education (14)
  • Improvement by two places in Anatomy (24) and Business (29)
  • Medicine (maintaining a rank of 29)
