Latest news on COVID-19
Monash University is continuing to monitor the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation and acting accordingly.
We have compiled an online fact sheet to provide information and advice to the Monash community, which is being regularly updated to reflect ongoing changes.
This includes current advice from the Australian Government Department of Health the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services and the Australian Government’s travel recommendations.
Key points about Monash’s response are:
- All University travel to the Hubei province of China has ceased, in line with Australian Government travel recommendations.
- In line with the Australian Government travel recommendations, Monash University is urging students and staff to reconsider any travel to all of China.
- Exams scheduled for week commencing 3 February are deferred.
- We suggest that all students and staff returning from China remain at their home for 14 days and follow the health advice of the Department of Health.
