Dr. Rajesh Sreedharan Nair obtained his undergraduate degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm) from Mangalore University (1998) and a master’s degree (M.Pharm, Pharmaceutics) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (2003), India. Thereafter, he began his academic career in India and later moved to Malaysia in 2007. He served as a Senior lecturer in School of Pharmacy at Asia Metropolitan University and as Assistant Professor in UCSI University, Malaysia. He was a recipient of teaching excellence award multiple times at UCSI University and also served as an industry liaison person for students’ attachment. He has completed his PhD from University of Nottingham Malaysia in August 2019 and joined School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia in December 2019. His research interest is on the development of nanocarriers for drug delivery, particularly for topical and transdermal applications. Dr. Rajesh has a keen interest in the skin permeation and dermatokinetics of bioactives using very specific skin models such as full-thickness human skin, animal skin and synthetic membranes.
