Prof. Gan - HoS MsgThe School of Pharmacy at Monash University Malaysia plays a distinctive role in the key research priorities of the university. The school is a dynamic, innovative and research-focused school which offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Monash Malaysia Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) program is accredited by the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Board and is closely related to the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, located at Monash University, Australia.

Students can benefit from the vibrant curriculum, strongly supported by the intelligent use of learning technology such as the Virtual Practice Environment (VPE) and the Professional Practice Suite (PPS) which can help strengthen their communication and practice skills in a professionally designed environment. They were also offered many opportunities to develop their clinical skills through the Professional Experience Placements undertaken at government hospitals, community polyclinics and pharmacies as well as in various other pharmaceutical industries.

  • Active learning
    – Learning is no longer confined to the traditional classroom setting. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities (such as VPE and PPS), you will get hands on experience through various interactive and engaging activities. This guarantees you a better understanding of the subject matter.

  • Experiential learning
    – You will get the opportunity to go outside classrooms and the laboratory, and step into real-world functions with site visits to places such as hospitals and community pharmacies.

We have established partnerships and new alliances with top universities around the world. This network will enable you to embark on exchange programs with elite universities in North America, Europe and Asia. The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Monash has ranked second in the world for Pharmacy and Pharmacology in the QS 2020 World University.

Our staff is active in strong research areas including anticancer therapeutics, clinical pharmacy, drug delivery, drug discovery and development, health economics, medicinal chemistry, microbiology, organic and biomolecular chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacogenomics, pharmacognosy, general pharmacology, pharmacy practice as well as phytochemistry.
