Hind Rattan Award Recipient - Professor Sunil Lal

On 25 January 2020, Professor Sunil Lal from the School of Science received the Hind Rattan Award in New Delhi for his outstanding achievements and excellence in Education.
Hind Rattan Award, also known as the Jewel of India, is one of the highest Indian diasporic awards granted annually on the eve of India’s Republic Day to people of Indian origin and non-resident Indians (NRIs) for their exceptional achievements and contributions.
Prof Sunil is well-known internationally for his research on SARS Coronavirus and Influenza A virus. He has 120 high impact publications and three international books on emerging viral diseases in Southeast Asia, especially Coronaviruses.
