All international students whose student pass applications were approved from 1 January 2014 are now required to obtain a Visa with Reference (VDR) before they are able to enter Malaysia for the purpose of study.
However, non-visa required national may enter Malaysia provided they produce VAL at the point of entry. Failure to produce VAL may result in student being not allowed to enter the country
In order for you to apply for the SEV, you are required to submit the following documents to the nearest Malaysian Embassy/Consulate in your country:
- IM47 form
- a copy of Letter of Offer issued by Monash University Malaysia
- original Student Pass/Visa Approval Letter issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia
- original Visa with Reference Letter (VDR) issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia
