Dependant pass

Student Pass holders are eligible to apply for a Dependant Pass for their spouse, children under 18 years of age, legally adopted children under 18 years of age, or parents.

All postgraduate students enrolled with a valid Student Pass are eligible to apply for Dependant Pass(es).

Undergraduate students are only eligible to apply for Dependant Pass(es) if they are citizens of the following countries:

  1. Azerbaijan
  2. Bahrain
  3. Iran
  4. Iraq
  5. Jordan
  6. Kuwait
  7. Lebanon
  8. Libya
  9. Maldives
  10. Oman
  11. Palestinian Territories
  12. Qatar
  13. Saudi Arabia
  14. Syria
  15. Turkey
  16. United Arab Emirates (UAE)
  17. Yemen

IMPORTANT

  • Dependants must apply and ensure they have a valid pass at all times while in Malaysia. The University is unable to apply for any bridging pass (Special Pass) for dependants.
  • The approval of a Dependant Pass is at the discretion of the Immigration Department of Malaysia and the decision is final.

How to apply?

The student (principal holder) must have a valid student pass sticker present in the passport before starting the process.

Prepare your documents based on the checklist. You may download and complete the forms (in black ink) at the following sites:

Dependant Pass applications are to be accompanied with a supporting letter, personal bond and stamp from the University. Please submit a request for a supporting letter here and we will notify you to collect the personal bond and stamp within 3 working days at the International Student Pass office, Building 2 Level 1.
