This section lists the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) relating to new students at Monash University Malaysia. You are considered as a New Student if you do not have a multiple entry Student Pass sticker issued for the course that you have applied / currently enrolled. We will re-commence on-campus teaching and learning activities for Semester 1, 2022. | |||||

Apply for a Special Pass to validate your stay in Malaysia while your Student Pass endorsement (ie obtaining a Multiple Entry Student Pass sticker) is being processed by Immigration. Please complete the steps below (in sequence): i. Submit a payment of RM300 (see payment method here) and attach the proof of payment via Finance Helpdesk ii. 2. We will submit a request to EMGS for your eVAL to be extended and notify you via your Monash email when your eVal extension is approved by EMGS. However, if your eVAL has expired more than 18 months from the issuance date, you are required to submit a new student pass application (new payment as well). Please get in touch with us at the ISP Helpdesk. 3. Upon receipt of our notification (Step 2 above), you must complete your medical screening within 7 working days of our notification. Further details will be provided in our email. 4. Contact the ISP Helpdesk for the medical slip after you have completed the medical screening and make an appointment for the submission of the following documents:

Other Important Information
1. Definition of EMGS application status in EMGS Track My Application:

2. Please check EMGS Track My Application website to see the status of your new student pass application.
3. If EMGS is requesting for corrected/additional documents, it will normally be set out in EMGS Track My Application. Please check this regularly and submit your corrected/additional documents to us via the ISP Helpdesk.
4. If your eVAL has expired more than 18 months from the issuance date, you are required to submit a new student pass application (new payment as well). Please get in touch with us via the ISP Helpdesk.
5. If your current eVAL status does not qualify in any of the categories listed in this document, kindly contact us at via the ISP Helpdesk and we will assist you.
6. You may request for an extension only once the eVAL has expired, and not before. An eVAL can only be extended within 18 months from the issuance date. If the eVAL was issued more than 18 months ago, you must apply for a new student pass. Please contact us via the ISP Helpdesk for further assistance.
7. Please plan your travels only if you have both a valid eVAL (3 months from the date of arrival) and Travel Authorization Letter. If you only have one of the mentioned, please contact us via the ISP Helpdesk.
8. It is the responsibility of all students to ensure that their Student Pass remains valid at all times while in Malaysia. Applications for renewal must be submitted in a timely manner (3 months before expiry) to ISP using this form. Heavy penalties will be imposed by Immigration (fine, compound and/or detention) for students who do not hold a valid Student Pass while in Malaysia.
