Travel Grants
Funding your trip could be easier than you think
For Outbound Students
Travel grants are made available to all approved Monash Malaysia students (including international students) going on a Monash Abroad approved program – international exchange program to partner universities or faculty/school overseas program.
The travel grants will be paid into your nominated bank account once you have completed the following requirements :
- Enrolment in the unit/s associated with your overseas program;
- Completion of the Monash Abroad Pre-departure Training on Moodle; and
- Completion of the Travel Approval Request Form and confirmation of 'Approved for Travel' by Monash Abroad.

Please note:
- Selection and approval are based on merits. If you exchange to the same host university for two consecutive semesters, you will receive one travel grant for your entire time abroad.
- You may not be eligible for funding if you are participating in a Monash Abroad approved program taking place in your country of origin or a country of which you are a national or citizen.
- Monash Abroad WILL NOT process your travel grant payment retrospectively after your program's end date.
- Failure to complete these requirements, or complete them during or after your overseas experience, will result in you not being issued with any applicable payments, grants or scholarships.
All students are covered by the complimentary University travel insurance scheme.
