Orientation for new students has been designed into clear phases:
- Let's Begin - September 2025 - 21 October 2025
- O-Week -22 - 24 October 2025
- Semester start -27 October 2025 onwards
The primary intention is to deliver as many opportunities as possible in person. Though there will be opportunities for online participation for students unable to attend campus.

We recommend attending and participating in every step of the Orientation Program to get the full Orientation experience. Each step has been carefully crafted to cater to new students and prepare you for life at Monash.
A recommended Orientation Program is:
Let’s Begin
- September 2025 - 21 October 2025: Your introduction to Monash Malaysia
O-Week
- 22 - 24 October 2025: In-person School Information Sessions, Future Ready and Go Global Festival
From 27 October 2025 onwards
- Commencement of Week 1, October 2025 intake
You will need:
- Water bottle. There are plenty of water fountains around campus, so remember to bring a sustainable water bottle with you to fill up
- Money. There will be some free food on offer plus a wide range of food retailers too
Photographs and videos will be taken during this event and may be used, published and broadcast by Monash University for promotional materials, including on social media. If you do not consent to your image being used for these purposes, please email mum.student.engagement@monash.edu to request the removal of content including your image.

School Information Sessions

All in-person O-Week school information sessions will kick off from 22 October 2025 on campus. It’s important to check-out the Orientation Programme Schedule so you know where to go and what time your school briefings starts.
It’s a time to get a feel for your course, meet your peers and meet your academics. Attending your school information sessions will ensure you are prepared to study from week 1 of semester.
Yes! This is the primary focus of your School Information Sessions. By attending, you will be prepared to commence your course from week 1 of semester.

Can't attend

Attending in person may not be an option for some people. To support students who can’t attend in person, there will be a catch up session during week 1 of the semester. Kindly email to mum.student.engagement@monash.edu should you require the session.
