Corrective Eye-Glasses Distribution for Orang Asli in Bekok

Following to the visual screening that was conducted on 8 March 2015 for the Orang Asli community in Bekok - on 23 May 2015, SEACO and SEGI Optometry Club of SEGi University, with the support of Association of Malaysia Optometrists and HOYA Corporation had distributed free corrective glasses for villagers who were identified to have visual problems during the previous screening. 44 out of the 63 villagers from 6 villages, who turned up for the vision screening event were very happy to receive their corrective glasses and hoped for this event to be held again in the future. Based on this joint effort with the Segamat Community, a private university (SEGi University), a corporate company (HOYA Corporation), the Association of Malaysian Optometrists, and SEACO, we hope that this collaboration can be repeated in the future.
