Key Focus:

Develops various technologies and applications that can support industries in achieving higher productivity and also improve the daily living of humans.

Objectives:

Develop automated integrated systems that improve living conditions for the home, community and environment. Engage and work in partnership with industries and external organisations with expertise/interest in automation and/or smart/sustainable living.

Nanotechnology Cluster

Key Focus:

Focuses on engineering materials and systems at the nanoscale, and explores into the endless possibilities of nanotechnology for the benefits of human society.

Objectives:

We take account into every potential exhibited by nanotechnology for sustainable living through understanding the fundamentals and working principles behind the unique properties and systems in the nano-scale regime.

Smart Health Cluster

Key Focus:

Focuses on using data to improve health care.

Objectives:

To design and build wearables to collect data, and develop data analytics to diagnose, assess risk, understand disease dynamics and provide early warning of disease onset.

CySAI (Cyber Security & AI) Cluster

Key Focus:

Put forward for technological advancement with the focus on social good and establishing a South East Asia front for the Data Futures Institute (DFI)

Objectives:

Committed to advance the state-of-the-art techniques in cyber security as well as AI/DS (data science) and to serve the community for social good.

Emerging Technology Cluster

Key Focus:

Research strength from Monash Engineering Malaysia that aligns to the goal and mission of AEP. The identified key focus areas include, but not limited to, smart polymeric and composite materials.

Objectives:

Exploring advances in the engineering field to stay forefront and competitive in the research field of national/international interest.
