UHPLC Service Overview

The UHPLC facility at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia, provides high‐resolution separation and quantification of compounds using an Agilent 1290 UHPLC system with diode array detection. The service supports routine analysis, method development and external method validation across pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, environmental and related applications.

Service Tiers and Pricing

  • Per Injection (Standard Analysis): RM 100 per injection – routine analysis on a C18 column with ACN, MeOH, water and acid modifiers.
  • Method Development: From RM 2,250++, including up to 30 injections to optimise straightforward separation conditions.
  • Instrument Rental: RM 50 per hour for experienced users; competency assessment and training apply, and users are liable for any damage during operation.
  • External Method Validation: RM 100 per injection using your established methods.
  • Custom Service Package: Price on discussion, covering method setup, troubleshooting and optimisation.

Discounts:

  • 10% off Per Injection charges for bulk orders of 30 samples or more.
  • 25% discount per injection when you provide your own column and solvents (terms and conditions apply).









How to Request UHPLC Services?

1. Review Terms & Conditions

  • Download and review the UHPLC Terms & Conditions – this always contains the latest information on pricing, mandatory filtration, safety and liability.

2. Submit the UHPLC Online Request Form

  • Click on the UHPLC Online Request Form
  • Use the form to:
    ● Request a quotation (Option A) if you are planning a study; or
    ● Submit samples (Option B) if you already have a quotation or PO and your batch is ready.
  • The form collects billing details, service tier, sample counts, filtration status and safety/SDS information to ensure a complete request.

3. Prepare and Deliver Samples

  • All samples must be adequately prepared and filtered through a 0.22 μm or 0.45 μm filter before submission. Unfiltered or unsuitable samples may be rejected or incur additional handling charges, as per the Terms and Conditions (T&C).
  • Samples can be delivered via walk‑in or courier to:
    ● Laboratory Management Office, Building 3, Level 6, Room 05a (3‑6‑05a), Monash Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia, Jalan Lagoon Selatan, 47500 Bandar Sunway, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.

Important Limitations

  • The UHPLC service does not support discovery work or the identification of unknown compounds or unknown peaks.
  • Reference standards are strictly required for identification and quantification; requests without appropriate standards may be declined.
