Why did you choose to pursue your postgraduate degree at Monash University Malaysia? Did it meet your expectations?

Working with digital mediums with various softwares and data for the bigger part of my career always made me wonder about what goes behind the scenes. In addition, I have worked with colleagues who inspired me to better understand the tech world and I also felt that the world has now come to a point where if you don’t understand what is Information technology, you will not survive.

During my search, I found that Monash provided one of the best Business IT programs in Malaysia and I was lucky enough to meet a Monash staff in the Maldives during an educational expo. The person convinced me that this masters would be perfect for me and here I am in my second semester.

While at Monash, what type of opportunities did you participate in? (E.g. student exchange, clubs and societies, field trips, conferences, competitions, etc.)

I am currently part of the Monash Entrepreneurs Club (MEC) and I do join in industry professional talks by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub (eiHub) which is really amazing. In addition, as a University, Monash also provides additional networks which you can be a part of internationally which you can use to hone your skills during your time.

What did you enjoy most about your student life at Monash?

The access to a global network of research, alumni, and being challenged intellectually to give your best. In addition, I love discussing with my lecturers who are open to discuss and collaborate on your ideas which is an additional bonus.

In addition, being at Monash gives you prestige among peers in your industry as they know that Monash keeps challenging you on many levels to further think and get you out of your comfort zones.

What is your biggest career goal, or what is the difference you’d like to make?

My biggest career goal is to someday create or assist to be part of a solution which positively impacts millions of people. I feel like there are so many opportunities still out there in this world and we haven’t still discovered our true potential as humans. I really believe that through a lot of collaboration, there is so much that can be done.
